The Classics - An Audiophile's Psychedelic Dream

£10,000.00

Mixed media (on incredible speakers)

Looking to create a truly unique piece of functional art, Atlanta wanted to create something that provided both visual beauty, and unrivalled performance in its field.

In collaboration with a selection of true audiophiles, she found the perfect base to work with; a customised and upgraded version of the magnificent Tekton Moab speakers (full speaker specification below).

The inspiration came from Atlanta's strong connection to music from the 60's and 70's which was heavily influenced by the explosion of psychedelics at the time.

She spent many years researching and learning about psychedelics, and how such compounds change our perception of reality.

Fascinated by the enormous impact such small compounds could have on the human psyche, her focus became locked on a selection of "The Classic" psychedelics:

  • DMT - The active ingredient in Ayahuasca

  • Psilocybin - The active compound in Magic Mushrooms

  • LSD - The infamous chemical which kick-started the hippy revolution, became the most-researched psychiatric substance in the world, then quickly one of the most vilified medicines by the highly misinformed and misinforming War on Drugs campaign.

You have never seen, or heard, anything like this!
